Zane made his film debut in Back to the Future (1985) and also appeared in Part II (1989) as well as in films such as Critters (1986) before making an impact on audiences in Dead Calm (1989). His other movies include Memphis Belle (1990), Orlando (1992), Only You (1994), The Phantom (1996), and Titanic (1997). He also appeared in the series Twin Peaks (1990).
