Given the number of tourists sick and tired of the snootiness of the French, it's paradoxical that their country is—and has been for many years—the world's most popular tourist destination. Poland is quickly gaining on France, however, having shot up in recent years from 27th to 10th place on the list of hot tourist destinations.
